The classification process requires an attentive eye and a sensitive touch in order to identify, separate and categorise the different qualities of alpaca fibre.
To do this, each master considers the thickness, length and colour of the fibre according to its natural shades, thus preserving a knowledge and manual tradition that dates back to pre-Hispanic Peru.

ESTA ETAPA CONSISTE EN EL RETIRO DE GRASAS Y RESIDUOS. SE REALIZA A PARTIR DE LAS CARACTERÍSTICAS PARTICULARES DE LA FIBRA DE LA ALPACA, TALES COMO LA FINURA, EL PORCENTAJE DE GRASA Y SUS NIVELES DE IMPUREZA.
